How to Scan Documents to PDF With Your Phone Camera
Turn photos of paper documents into a clean multi-page PDF without installing an app. Free, and nothing leaves your device.
Scan with the camera you already have
Open the Scan to PDF tool and choose Use camera. On most phones it opens the rear camera. Capture each page, or upload photos you already took if the camera is blocked or unavailable.
Get a cleaner scan
Lay the page flat in good light and shoot straight on. Use the crop button on each thumbnail to trim the edges, and delete any bad shots before you continue.
Create the PDF
Click Create PDF. Each photo is placed on its own A4 page, scaled to fit with a margin and without stretching, in the order you captured them. Everything happens on your device, so your documents are not uploaded.
What it does not do
There is no automatic straightening or text recognition, and pages cannot be reordered inside the tool. Run the finished PDF through OCR PDF to make it searchable, Organize Pages to change the order, and Compress PDF if it is too big to send.
