How to Make a Screenshot Look Professional

Add a gradient background, padding, rounded corners and a soft shadow to a screenshot in a few clicks.

Why style a screenshot

A plain screenshot can blend into a page. Adding space, a background and a shadow makes it stand out in docs, blog posts, slides and social posts.

Style your screenshot

Open the Screenshot Beautifier and add your image. Choose one of the six gradient backgrounds, then adjust the padding, the corner radius and the shadow until it looks right. Download the result as a PNG.

Choose good settings

Moderate padding keeps the focus on the screenshot. Rounded corners with a soft shadow suit app screens. Pick a gradient that contrasts with the colors in your screenshot so the edges stay clear.

Output size

The finished image is your screenshot at its original size plus the padding on every side. A 1000 x 600 screenshot with 80 px of padding becomes 1160 x 760. Lower the padding for a smaller file.

Limits

There are six preset gradients, and you cannot upload a custom background or add a window frame. Everything runs in your browser, so your screenshot is not uploaded.
